Como inmigrantes e hijxs de inmigrantes, la lucha es the constant labor of re-valuing nuestra existencia amidst the constant cultural negotiation of our roots and tongues in a country que activamente seeks to cut them out mientras se niega a aceptar that it has built itself on our backs. Juntxs, we scrap our way towards algo más allá meanwhile la colonización of these lands and its continued reign seek to erase nuestra memoria cultural our joy our pride ourselves. Pero de la misma manera, nuestras manos are strong and hold tight and hold dear and hold out and hold on. Luchamos constantemente and we will continue to no dejar que muera todo lo que lxs hace de aquí y de allá.
This original form was collaboratively printed at Wieden + Kennedy’s opening reception for the eponymous show. The press was left inked by the artists for the first participant, who, after printing, left the text inked for the following person. Thus, this was not only a collaboration between the artists and the public, but between each of the participants with one another.
